Ariadne’s Thread: Distributed Tracing Through the Microservice Labyrinth
Theseus didn’t survive the Labyrinth by being strong. He survived because Ariadne gave him a thread to unspool on the way in. A trace ID is that thread — and most systems drop it at the first turning.
